Sprout, Seed, Sprout! is the story of a young boy who, like many children, has decided to plant a seed--in this case, an avocado seed. And as with so many things in life, the process takes a good while longer than anticipated ... A meditation on patience and perseverance, combined with humour (and an utterly charming cat), this title has lots of patterning and repetition and will make a great choice for storytime.
