Patch Brightwater, dracogriff Barver, and an army of Pipers find themselves stranded on a mysterious island while their shapeshifting friend Wren is held captive, but the three friends work to reunite and prevent the Piper of Hamelyn from achieving immortality and thwart a sinister plot.
